Backup and Recovery Case Study
About WIRELESS ARCHITECTURE
WIRELESS ARCHITECTURE are made of certified integrators for the development of projects of DAS Projects, WIFI, structured wiring (Voice and Data), physical security and access control.
Wireless Architecture wanted to manage their information centrally but without losing access to it. As the amount of all their data was Terabytes, the best solution to cover all their need was Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) bucket and directories into them.
Import/export was used to minimize the time of the upload of the data to AWS. This data was copied from de customer’s NAS to a hard disk, this one was sent to AWS and deposited in the Oregon region. The control access to this data is managed with Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) clients and users, each one with policies.
As Wireless Architecture stores a high volume of data, cost is important to keep it low.
Because Wireless Architecture business role, they must have an old archive, then if a disaster occurred with their physical servers, they would have the desired RTO and RPO.
Security of data backup
An Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) explorer is used for retrieving and uploading data, this one has access with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) User which has specific policy only for certain directories.
